Based in North London the club was founded in 1933 as Olympic AFC, the club quickly changed it’s name to Southgate Olympic AFC and after many years playing at Broomfield Park, the club moved to their current home at Clowes Sports Ground in the early 1960’s.
The club moved to the Southern Amateur league in 1958/59 and spent many years in that league, before joining the Amateur Football Combination in 2015/16.
The club have rejoined the Southern Amateur League for their 91st season in 2023/24 and will have six teams. Four playing on Saturday’s and two on Sunday’s an open-age team and a Vets (Over-35s) team.
