About the Club

Founded in 1933 as Olympic AFC, the club quickly changed it’s name to Southgate Olympic AFC and after many years playing at Broomfield Park, the club moved to their current home at Clowes Sports Ground in the early 1960’s.

The club moved to the Southern Amateur league in 1958/59 and spent many years in that league, before joining the Amateur Football Combination in 2015/16. In 2016/2017 another local team Oakhill Tigers, who found themselves without a ground, joined en mass, and for a season the club had seven teams.

For the 2022/23 season we will have five teams. Four playing on Saturday’s in the Amateur Football Combination, and a Vets (Over-35s) team who play in the Southern Amateur League Vets North Division One.
